[No.035] The Project of Salmon & Beurre Blanc

My husband and I made another delicious dish! This is one of my favorite dishes we've recently made and it's not difficult to make at all. If you like salmon and don't mind a creamy sauce to accompany it, this is the dish for you. We've eaten this dish with jasmine rice, garlic noodles, and salad. Depending on what you like, these were the three accompaniments to have with the salmon. Here is the recipe! Try it and let me know how you did!

Salmon with a Lemon & Dill Beurre Blanc

Serving: 4

Prep Time: 15 Minutes

Cook Time: 30 Minutes

Total Time: 45 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 Salmon Filets

  • 1/3 Cup Avocado Oil, divided

  • 1 Shallot, diced

  • 3 Garlic Cloves, diced

  • 1 Lemon

  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Dill, chopped

  • 1 Cup White Wine

  • 1 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream

  • 8 Tbsp Butter

  • Salt & Pepper

Directions:

  1. Salt and pepper both sides of the salmon filets and place to the side.

  2. In a pan over medium heat, pour 1 tablespoon of avocado oil then add in the shallots and garlic.

  3. Sweat the shallots and garlic for about 5 minutes or once the aroma of the shallots and garlic begins to come out, then pour in the white wine and simmer.

  4. When the mixture begins to simmer, squeeze the lemon juice and allow the white wine to go through reduction.

  5. Once the white wine has reduced, add in the heavy whipping cream and dill then increase heat to boil sauce.

  6. Boil sauce for about 5-7 minutes to thicken then remove from heat.

  7. In another pan over high heat, pour the remaining avocado oil and sear both sides of the salmon for about 3-4 minutes or until texture shows a nice crust type sear.

  8. Place cooked salmon over jasmine rice, garlic noodles, or fresh salad and pour the beurre blanc sauce on top and ENJOY!
