[No. 006] The Project of Cousins, Ministry, & Memories

As cousins, we have been blessed to be family, to have ministry together, and to be able to make these memories that will last us forever. Since we were kids, even though we didn't live close to each other, part of our trip would always include visiting each others church with our parents. As kids, we just followed our parents, assuming it was just something we had to do. However, as we grew up, we realized the importance of why our parents included church in our trips, and years passed, we began to have our own ministries.

We didn't get to all grow up together since we have three cousins who live in Canada, and the rest of us live in California. Although in opposite parts of California, we were still able to come together more often. Because of this, we were able to worship and grow together in God's word.

The eldest cousin, my sister, became a Pastor in her twenties. She had such a wonderful ministry, and a huge heart to share the message of God. We have such a great relationship together that we grew up like siblings. Every time we come together, we would have our outings to restaurants, have game night, and always squeezed a worship session.

Sadly, we lost our dear loving sister and cousin. She battled osteosarcoma, which is bone cancer in the skull and brain. Through this journey, each of us had our own moment of testing in our faith. We hoped, we prayed, we struggled, and we loss. Though in the end, she passed at thirty-eight, the amazing story was her example of always showing her faith. Just when most of us would waver and give up on believing in God, she stood firm and completely continued to believe and share the word.

She taught us to always choose Joy in all circumstances, to know that God will always be there, and to always lean on the Lord because He hears us and He protects us even when we may not see it. As we grieve at this time, missing her every moment and in everything we do together, one of my cousin's found a very old recording we did years ago when we were much younger.

It was a moment of thankfulness that this memory was found for the sound of my sister's voice will forever be with us. This project was so difficult especially for novabloom who had to work on this day in and day out. As a tribute to her, we decided to record this again, and a beautiful piece was created in memory of her.

Watching is heartbreaking for us, but we rejoice in the Lord for we were given the opportunity to be together as family not just to hang out, but as ministers for the kingdom. We hope that you join us in this time as we celebrate the memory of my sister. She was love and grace, an amazing reflection of God's character. She taught us well, and blessed us in more ways than one.

Ate (big sister), this one is for you. You were taken so soon, but you fought the good fight, you paved the way in being an example of being a child of the kingdom. Your character, the messages and sermons you shared, and the memories we created all together will forever be in our hearts. Although you only had thirty-eight years here on earth, you accomplished more than most would in their kingdom journey. You had such an amazing relationship with God, dwelling in His presence daily, and doing all things in Him and for Him. This was our project together with you, as cousins in ministry, creating these memories for all the world to see. Your life here doesn't stop, your memory will continue on to even our future children showing Glory to our God. We love you forever, continue to shine on us from heaven.
