PROJECT.PURPOSE.LIFE
CHERRY VALLEY
Duration: Half Day
Needed some sort of a small getaway. What was supposed to be a day trip to get some air, became a day to reflect, enjoy the lavender fields, and remember my sister.
THE LAVENDER FIELD
If you are interested in going away and enjoying nature with a smell of relaxation, then the lavender fields at 123 farms is the right place. Every year they usually have a huge festival; however, due to our current situation, the festival was cancelled. They allow a walk through the field until July 26, 2020. In the field, you will see and smell different types of lavender, and enjoy the beauty it holds. Tickets for the walk through do need to be purchased in advance so you'll have to go to https://www.123farm.com/lavender-festival.html pick the date and time you would like to go and purchase the tickets. Ticket range from $4.00-$8.00 (child-adult) but all information will be located directly on their site.
MARKET PLACE & CURBSIDE PICK UP
After walking in the field, I stopped the market place and tried a couple items from their curbside pick up menu. Right now, there is no seating so you will have to order ahead of time for food and pick it up at the window. The market place sells a lot of different lavender items. From soaps to essential oil, honey, to olive oil, you'll have a nice time walking around the outside market and looking at the items they produced.
As for curbside pick up, they have an array of items on their menu. I ordered the hot dog and loaded fries to eat, and as for the drinks, I tried the Fresh squeezed lavender lemonade, lavender mojito, and the lavender blueberry cream ale. Out of everything I ordered, the lavender blueberry cream ale is the best and must have in my opinion. Spending a couple of hours at the farm was a great way to get away, have some self-care, reflection, and healing. Hopefully you get a chance to visit the farm and enjoy a moment to breathe.
